Jim Dowling is managing partner at Cake in London, responsible for day-to-day leadership of the agency. He oversees planning and strategy for many of the agency’s clients including EE, Weetabix, Sony and Carphone Warehouse. He began life as account lead on Cake’s early flagship clients and then became the company’s first planning director in 2001. In 2005, a stint with Ogilvy PR in Asia-Pacific based in Hong Kong as the region’s planning director saw him develop global insight as well as digital expertise launching the network’s social media practice. In 2008, he returned to London and Cake as head of planning, and then within the year, managing partner.
