Ask any group of business people the question “What do effective leaders do?” and you’ll hear a sweep of answers. Leaders set strategy, they motivate, they create a mission, they build a culture. Then ask “What should leaders do?” If the group is seasoned, you’ll likely hear one response: the leader’s job is to get results, but still, effective leadership eludes many people and organisations.
On Wednesday 18th March the Oystercatchers Club will be bringing together senior business and inspiring thought leaders to explore the characteristics of great leadership, how to acquire and inspire top talent and the qualities needed to succeed.
Joining Suki Thompson, Oystercatchers’ CEO and Founder are Global Radio’s CEO, Stephen Miron, Telefonica UK’s CEO, Ronan Dunne, Havas Group’s Chairman Kate Robertson and Richard Jolly, leadership specialist at London Business School.
We’re looking forward to welcoming our agency and client members and will leave you with our favourite leadership quote:
“It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership”. Nelson Mandela
