Suki was the best of us, a transformational business leader with a passion for promoting business cultures founded in commercial effectiveness.

Suki was first diagnosed with cancer in 2010 – the first of four diagnoses. After battling the disease for thirteen years, she sadly passed away peacefully on the 30th July 2023 in Perranporth, Cornwall surrounded by close family.

Suki co-founded Oystercatchers alongside Peter Cowie in 2007, with a simple vision to enable brands and agencies to work more effectively together. Suki believed passionately the right team, the right ways of working and the right agency partners are the cornerstones for accelerating marketing performance, and she went on to lead some of the biggest pitches and marketing transformation programmes at home and abroad.

As well as co-founding Oystercatchers, Suki was the ever-present host and welcoming face for the Oystercatchers Club challenging curious minds and inspiring industry debate, in addition to being an Executive Director of Xeim and Centaur PLC.

Suki was heralded in the Sunday Times as the ‘Champion of Wellbeing’ and regularly named as one of the most powerful people in advertising by the industry bible Campaign. She received an Honorary Doctorate from Coventry University for services to Business and Entrepreneurship, was Chair of The Marketing Society, a Trustee & Board member of Macmillan Cancer Support, and awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by WinTrade. Suki proudly held memberships of Women in Advertising and Communications Leadership (WACL), the Marketing Group of Great Britain (MGGB) and regularly attended the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

We miss her greatly.
